Euclid: The Social Humanoid Robot
Dr Carl Strathearn & Lewis Watson

Euclid is a lifelike, low-cost / home-made social humanoid robot. He was built by Dr Carl Strathearn as part of his PhD project back in 2019. He is now being used by Lewis Watson as part of his PhD work, testing his dialogue management system in real-world conversation scenarios.

Continuity: Giorgio Clivio

Continuity is a fully 3D printed robot quadruped space rover created by GiorgioCilvio. It uses a fully interpretable AI system for navigation, allowing the robot to learn new environments and detect objects using its camera system. The robot uses off-the-shelf components, so it is cost-effective and easily reproducible. The robot can carry out numerous tasks, including collecting samples of extraterrestrial surfaces and data collection/

Robot Kits: Emilia Sobolewska

These kits are designed to introduce young learners to key principles in design, building, programming, and even cybersecurity. We encourage a user-centred, hands-on approach, spanning from sketching ideas on paper to building working prototypes, so that children with different interests and learning styles can find their own way into technology.
Ultimately, we aim to create modular, upgradeable, and easy-to-maintain systems that grow in complexity as children progress through their education. By doing so, we hope to support a future-proof learning journey and help bridge the gap between schools, institutions, and social groups.
